What this policy covers

This policy covers the Nightclub City: Neon website, browser game and online features when they are available. In this policy, “we” means the operator of Nightclub City: Neon. You can contact us about privacy at support@nightclubcity.app.

Local play stores progress on your device. Online play, when enabled, also uses servers to manage accounts and cloud saves. The information used depends on which features you choose.

Information we use

  • Game saves and preferences. Your club layout, DJ and club names, progress, inventory, game events and settings such as audio and accessibility choices. These are stored locally and may be uploaded when cloud saving is enabled.
  • Account information, if you sign in. An account identifier, display name, email address and, where provided, profile image. Google or Discord sign-in may also provide a provider identifier and authentication tokens. We use these to authenticate you and link your save; we do not receive your provider password.
  • Technical and security information. Online services may process your IP address, browser information, session identifiers, device identifiers, request times and security logs to deliver the service and prevent abuse.
  • The beta waitlist, if you ask to join. Your email address, your answers on the signup form (whether you played the original game, what you remember of it, and which device you will play on) and the tag of the link you followed to the form. Once you are invited we also keep when you were invited, the days you played and the highest level your club reached, so we can tell whether the beta is working.
  • Reports you send from the game. The text you write and any screenshots you attach, with your email address, club level, game version, browser and window size so the problem can be reproduced. Screenshots show whatever was on screen when you took them.
  • Messages you send us. If you contact support, we receive your email address and the information you include. Please avoid sending passwords or sign-in codes.

How we use information

We use information to:

  • Run the game, remember your preferences and restore your progress.
  • Authenticate accounts, send requested sign-in codes and synchronize cloud saves.
  • Run the beta: decide who to invite next, email you when your spot opens, and find and fix the problems testers report.
  • Protect accounts, limit abusive requests and troubleshoot service problems.
  • Respond to support requests and comply with applicable legal obligations.

Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on providing the service you request, legitimate interests in securing and maintaining it, legal obligations or your consent where required. You may withdraw consent for processing based on consent.

Browser storage and cookies

The game uses IndexedDB and local storage for saves and settings. It may also cache game files in your browser so it can load faster and work offline. These files remain on your device unless you or your browser remove them.

Online sign-in uses first-party session cookies to remember your account. Blocking these cookies may prevent online features from working. The game does not currently use advertising trackers or third-party analytics.

Service providers and sharing

We do not sell your personal information or share it for targeted advertising. We use service providers as needed to operate online features:

  • Cloudflare provides hosting, storage for accounts, saves, the waitlist and reports with their screenshots, and security services for the online version. When Turnstile checks are enabled, Cloudflare processes technical signals such as your IP address and browser information to detect bots. See its Privacy Policy and Turnstile Privacy Addendum.
  • Resend delivers our emails: sign-in codes, the waitlist confirmation and the beta invite. It processes the recipient address and email content. See its Privacy Policy.
  • Google or Discord authenticates you if you choose that sign-in option. Their handling of your provider account is covered by the Google Privacy Policy or Discord Privacy Policy.

We may also disclose information when legally required or reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate abuse or defend legal rights. Information may be processed in countries other than your own by these providers, subject to applicable data-protection requirements.

Retention and security

Local saves and preferences remain in your browser until they are overwritten or removed. Online account and save information is retained as needed to provide your account and the features you use. Waitlist entries are kept until the game opens to everyone and you have been told, or until you ask us to remove yours. Reports are kept while they are useful for fixing the game. When an account is deleted, its active account and cloud-save data, its waitlist entry and its reports and screenshots are removed; limited records may remain where necessary for security, legal obligations or the lifecycle of provider backups.

We use safeguards such as secure connections for the production online service, restricted session cookies and access controls. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

  • Keep your progress online. Sign in with Google or email on the opening screen for automatic account saves. A new account can bring your existing offline club with it.
  • Remove local data. Reset game in Settings starts a new game. To remove all local saves, preferences and cached files, clear this website’s data in your browser. Make sure account progress has synced first if you want to keep it.
  • Request account deletion. Contact support@nightclubcity.app if you use an online account and want it deleted. Clearing browser data alone does not delete server-side account or cloud-save data.
  • Leave the waitlist. Contact support@nightclubcity.app from the address you signed up with and we will delete your entry. You do not need an account to ask.
  • Control linked sign-in. You can revoke the game’s access through your Google or Discord account settings. This does not by itself delete data already held by the game.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, object to processing or request that it be restricted. Send requests to support@nightclubcity.app. We may need to verify your identity before acting on an account request. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.

Children’s privacy

The game is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information through online accounts. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact support@nightclubcity.app so we can investigate and remove it where appropriate.

Updates and contact

We may update this policy when features or data practices change. The date above shows the latest revision. We will provide additional notice and request consent where required by applicable law.

For privacy questions or requests, email support@nightclubcity.app.
